Gala concert and dinner

Concert

Of course,  the culmination of NSSS 2017 will be the gala concert and dinner. The Ouluhalli stage will hold all the choirs and the Oulu Symphony Orchestra for a unique concert. The concert’s highlight will be a special piece commissioned by us, written by Jussi Chydenius to the poems of Eino Leino, our most highly respected national poet. In addition, the choir and orchestra will perform Finnish and Nordic music spanning over a hundred years. The concert will be conducted by the artistic director of Oulu Music Festival, Jaakko Kuusisto. The programme for the gala concert will be:

Dinner

The gala dinner will be served at Ouluhalli after the concert. The menu will include a three course dinner of Northern delicacies from local producers, a welcoming drink, three glasses of wine, a schnapps and cognac or liqueur with coffee or tea. The menu looks like this:
